Act 66 Requirements for Student Grade Level Retainment:
Form submissions must be sent to your school principal by Thursday, July 15, 2021

Form must be submitted to school to request retention for next school year.

K-6 Cyber is NOW Available Through SSD

The SSD is NOW OFFERING a K-6 Cyber option for our Scranton School District Community. Complete this form if you are interested in having your K - 6th grade student attend our Cyber school.

In an effort to identify the level of Internet access and connectivity that residents have within our school district, we are asking that you complete a short survey. The data collected will greatly assist our school district with obtaining local, state and federal broadband funding to provide additional resources to our students and families. Summer is coming! The Scranton School District is excited to announce our Summer Academy for students currently enrolled in grades Pre-K to 11. This free program will be held from June 28 - July 29, 2021 on Mondays through Thursdays.

COVID 19/ESSER Fund Community Stakeholder Meeting

This upcoming Thursday, May 13, Scranton School District officials will host a series of in-person COVID-19/ESSER Funding Community Stakeholder meetings. At these meetings, members of the central administration will provide a brief overview of how the SSD is planning on using our COVID-19/ESSER funding and listen to stakeholder suggestions. This type of meeting is a requirement for federal programs.

This meeting is not a School Board or Financial Recovery Meeting. These sessions are intended to gather community stakeholder feedback to report back to the Superintendent and School Board. They will also fulfill the requirement to demonstrate meaningful consultation with our stakeholders.

The meetings will be held at three locations on Thursday, May 13, at the time and locations below. The meetings will also be recorded and uploaded to the district's YouTube site.

6:00 PM - Scranton High School auditorium
7:00 PM - South Scranton Intermediate School auditorium
8:00 PM - Isaac Tripp Elementary School cafeteria

Positive COVID 19 Case at Isaac Tripp Elementary 4/23/2021

Dear Parents and Families,

I was notified today, April 23rd that there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Isaac Tripp Elementary. The individual is self-quarantined and will remain in isolation per Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines. We have conducted contact tracing and those who were in close contact are being notified and will be following the Department of Health recommendation of a 10 day quarantine.
